The Director of FP&A plays a key role in driving the strategic planning and financial analysis process to support our CFO. The primary responsibilities will be ownership of the analytical framework for strategic financial decisions and designing and managing PGTI’s budgeting, forecasting and expense management processes. This role requires a highly motivated professional who is excited to combine significant exposure to all areas of our growing business with regular interaction with senior leadership.




  • Lead FP&A efforts, with primary responsibility for financial modeling and forecasting tools.

  • Ongoing development of financial strategy, operating plan and key operating metrics.

  • Support the CFO in the design, maintenance and presentation of budgeting, forecasting and expense management process.

  • Work collaboratively across business lines to help facilitate effective processes and assist in executing financial initiatives.

  • Validate departmental results, identifying risks and opportunities.

  • Active involvement in the budgeting process.

  • Drive the preparation of CEO, board, and investor level presentations.

  • Serves on Senior Leadership Team to represent financial accounting management functions while maintaining a non-parochial position in achieving the entire Company’s operational goals.

  • Directs senior financial accountants in the flash and forecast process on an ongoing basis to help track the current and the outlook for financial results. Through this analysis this position will add insight to the Company’s leaders on potential improvements or areas of concern.

  • Directs senior financial accountants in the preparation of sales analysis designed to maximize the amount of relevant information to VP of Sales and Marketing.

  • Directs senior financial accountants in the accounting for income taxes in accordance with FASB standards. This also includes the oversight of the preparation of the required income and franchise tax returns for the Company. Directs Costing Manager in the preparation of manufacturing standards and analysis.

  • Helps CFO review the preparation and issuance of the Corporation’s financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC regulations


  • Prepares analysis on the general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organizations policies and operations.


  • Performs accounting work on certain high priority items as Stock Compensation and earnings per share reporting under FAS123R.


  • Prepares reports to analyze operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole institution, and determines their financial impact.




    Leads team of subordinate leaders and exempt and non-exempt professionals, specialists, and administrative coordinators.

  • 5+ years of experience in Corporate Finance / FP&A in a manufacturing environment.

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience

  • Demonstrated capabilities building and managing financial plans

  • Strong attention to detail and sound business judgment

  • Experience preparing and delivering analysis for board, investor, and external stakeholder consumption

  • Demonstrated experience supporting key business decisions thorough detailed analytics

  • Strong academic track record with a degree in finance, economics or accounting

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self aware, reflective and highly motivated to learn quickly

  • Fluency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Keynote

  • Frontier, SAP, AS400 or similar software knowledge is a plus

  • Ability to work successfully in teams and to build team rapport

  • Ability to interact confidently at all levels within the Company, including with executives





    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to convey information to management and peers





    Strong college-level mathematical skills





    Proven organizational skills and analytical skills

    Demonstrated ability to work with others in order to complete various tasks by established deadlines

    Manufacturing floor and office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.


    Ability to travel occasionally domestically.

    Occasional: activity exists less than 1/3 of the time.

    Frequent: activity exists 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.
