PGT Industries, Inc. is looking for a qualified intern to join our Product Marketing Department. The Product Marketing Department manages the product portfolio in order to provide our dealers and their customers quality windows and doors that meet their needs. PGT® is the nation's leading manufacturer and supplier of residential impact-resistant windows and doors, and aspires to develop innovative flexible solutions for all single family, commercial, and multi-family buildings. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing, with a strong focus on Product Technical and Market Demand.
Students will have professional supervision and mentorship throughout the program. PGT will provide the student with a combination of hands on projects or tasks that relate directly to their field of study. PGT leadership will complete a performance evaluation at the end of the semester and will work with the school to make sure all internship or co-op requirements are met.
Help manage the product line from strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Learn and help specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research.
- Assist in driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Product Management/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product specifications and positioning.
- Learn about and assist with developing and implementing a go-to-market plan, working with all necessary departments to execute.
Education, Experience & Skills Required:
PGT Industries, Inc. is looking for an undergraduate who is majoring in a Marketing related degree (preferably with a concentration in Product Technical or Market Demand). This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with technical knowledge of product life cycles. PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position.
Students MUST be declared in their degree.
Preferred to have 45-60 Credit hours (Junior or Senior).
Must meet minimum GPA standards.
