SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES

  • Hands on testing and analysis to support process development and manufacturing needs.

     

  • Collaborates with engineering teams as needed to support engineering projects.

     

  • Generates reports, test methods, appropriate documentation etc. to support work planned/ performed.

     

  • Technical writing to write, update or perform validation to Work Instructions,

    Equipment Asset Management Systems, and reports for all new or modified production equipment.

     

  • Support / author operating assembly instructions / manufacturing procedures for new equipment and processes.

     

  • Develop test plans, protocols, and reports for review by project engineer.

     

  • Support and develop processes and equipment, including requirements gathering and authoring.

     

  • CAD experience, AutoCad preferred.

     

  • Accomplishes tasks while conforming to the company quality system.

     

  • This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned.

     

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Mechanical Industrial Engineering, or related field program at a 4-year program with Junior standing or higher as well as a GPA of 3.0 or above.

     

  • Detail oriented and organized.

     

  • Demonstrated concept &/or working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools: 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Pull Systems, Cellular Manufacturing, Kaizen.

     

  • Moderate knowledge of CAD software, preferably AutoCad.

     

  • Experience working in a mechanical lab using various test equipment and jigs.

     

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) as well as personal interaction skills for interfacing with peers in other departments.

     

  • Excellent writing skills working with technical documents.

     

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access.)

     

  • Experience working with statistical software, Minitab

     

  • Demonstrated concept &/or working knowledge of problem solving tools: FMEA, DMAIC, PDCA, 5 why’s, Cause & Effect Analysis, A3, RCA, Fishbone Analysis.
